Bilić buoyed by another Baggies win

Slaven Bilić said Albion should "enjoy this moment" after recording their fifth win in six Sky Bet Championship games.

The Baggies made it 16 points from the last 18 on offer thanks to two first-half goals from Hal Robson-Kanu and Jake Livermore against fellow promotion-chasers Preston North End.

And the Baggies boss was impressed with the way his side performed against a team who hadn’t suffered a defeat on the road since early December.

“The way we played is what pleased me the most tonight,” said the Slav.

“We knew we were playing a team that were very intense, quick in their transitions to get on the front foot and physical on those second balls.

“We beat them in the areas of the game that they’re good in and that gave us the platform to get the ball into those dangerous areas.

“This allowed us to create from there and throughout the whole match we were on top of it with many good combinations and so many shots on goal.

“We have to enjoy these moments and these kind of games to get the confidence from it and the only way to go now is to concentrate on Wigan.

“But as a team we defended together and it was a very good performance.”
