Robson-Kanu extends Hawthorns stay

Hal Robson-Kanu has today extended his stay at The Hawthorns by a further year to the summer of 2021.

The former Wales international striker, who joined the Baggies in August 2016, has made five Sky Bet Championship appearances for the Baggies this term.

His extension follows some telling contributions off the bench for Slaven Bilić’s men and Robson-Kanu is happy to apply himself to whatever role Albion’s Head Coach requires of him in the months ahead.

“It’s fantastic for me and it remains a real pleasure to represent this club,” says Hal.

“Slaven is building a strong squad here which can compete and I’m looking forward to contributing over the course of the season.

“We’re going to need the whole squad for the battle ahead and need strength in every position, whether that is being in the team as a first choice or coming into games to make an impact.

“There’s a real focus around the place now which Slaven has helped create but we need to maintain what we’re doing.”
