Home confidence key for the Baggies - Bilić

Slaven Bilić says the confidence his players feel at The Hawthorns makes no challenge unsurmountable.

The Baggies again came from behind to earn a 2-2 draw with Barnsley on Tuesday - the fourth time in six home fixtures the table-toppers have claimed points from a losing position.

And Slaven, who admits Albion must start games better, says the Club’s supporters have played a key role in completing those comebacks.

“We feel the confidence and we feel that no matter what happens or what can happen, no matter if the other team are a bit better than you or they score a goal we are not shaken, we are not losing the confidence or the trust - and it is good to have that,” he said.

“But we have to minimise the situations when we are two down because normally when we are two down home or away you have an unbelievably big task to come back.

“It is good to have a game again at home. Especially because you don’t have to travel and you can use a little bit more time to refresh and rest and prepare for the game. It is good to have a home game, it’s always nice to play at home.

“Charlton are playing good and enjoying it, which is kind of a regular case for teams that have been promoted and especially if they start good, it is like a dream for them. They play and they are so motivated and high with team spirit. They are fighting for each other and they play good football.

“They are a very good team and they are running with a high intensity and it is going well for them so it gives them extra motivation and confidence and if you put it all together we are playing against a good team. It is another demanding game tomorrow.”
