Slaven Bilić says he and his coaching staff will utilise the two-week international break to find the solution to the double suspension blow for the Sheffield Wednesday clash.
Midfield duo Romaine Sawyers and captain Jake Livermore will miss the clash with the Owls on Saturday, November 23rd after picking up their fifth bookings of the campaign during Albion’s 1-0 win at Hull City.
The pair have been ever-presents at the heart of the Baggies midfield so far this season in the Sky Bet Championship and Slaven acknowledges finding the best solution to replacing them is a key task for the next fortnight.
“They are suspended for the Sheffield Wednesday game and that’s a blow for us,” said the boss.
“Both players have been instrumental for us from the start of the season. They are leaders.
“We have a good squad though.
“We have guys who always come on from the bench and do really well.
“It’s not ideal that we are missing both of them but at least we have plenty of time to think about what we want to do.
“We will find a solution for the Sheffield Wednesday game."
