Albion starlet Morgan Rogers added more distinction to our Academy last night when he captained England Under-17s in the European Championships.
Morgan, skippering his country for the first time, led the young Lions to a 3-1 victory over Sweden in the final group game in Dublin.
But France's defeat of the Netherlands meant Les Bleus a place in the quarter-finals at England’s expense.
Watching Albion Academy manager Mark Harrison was still justifiably proud of Morgan’s efforts.
“It was a great honour for Morgan and we congratulate him,” said Mark.
“I felt he was particularly impressive in the first phase of the game and it was another important step in his development.”
