Albion will take on La Liga outfit Villarreal at the end of a pre-season training camp in Spain this summer.
The Baggies travel on Monday, July 8 to a Spanish hotel and sports complex near the Costa Blanca coastline to continue their build up to the 2019/20 campaign with a week’s training.
They will finish the trip with a friendly against the Europa League quarter-finalists at the Benidorm Municipal Stadium on the evening of Saturday, July 13. A kick-off time has yet to be confirmed but the match will be free admission.
The venue, Estadio Municipal Guillermo Amor, has a capacity of 9,000 and carries the name of Benidorm’s most famous footballer - former Barcelona star Guillermo Amor Martínez.
It will be the first time Albion have ever played Villarreal, universally known as the “Yellow Submarine”, who finished 14th in Spain’s top flight last season.
