WBA PFC progress in WFA Cup

WBA Powerchair Football Club booked their place in the WFA Cup Quarter-Finals with a 1-0 against Sevenoaks PFC.

Manager and player for Albion's side, Chris Gordon's strike in the first-half was the difference in what was a cagey tie.

Having won the competition last season, the side are looking to retain their crown, as Chris explained.

"It was a long time coming, to get our hands on some silverware," he said.

"Last year we had a great year, we won the league, we won the cup.

"That's our aim this season, to repeat that and hopefully do it playing the right way and try and take powerchair football to new heights."

Chris' appetite for continued success was echoed by team mate and goalscorer in last season's final, Luke Kelly.

"I'm hungrier than ever now beacuse obviously I've had the feeling of being there and I want to replicate it," he said.

"Sevenoaks are just another step on the way to the finals at St. George's Park and I'm confident that we can win it again."

Albion will learn their next opponents later this month.
