Moore ready for ‘buzzing' Hawthorns

Darren Moore says The Hawthorns will be “buzzing” with anticipation when Albion host the Sky Bet Championship’s in-form away side on Saturday.

Norwich City have lost just once on the road this term while the Baggies have only two home defeats to their name.

And Moore hopes his men can leapfrog the visitors - in front of a fourth successive home sell-out - with another three points at the weekend.

“It’s a big, exciting game and it’s great to see it’s a sell-out,” said Darren.

“It’s a fourth home sell-out here at The Hawthorns which is brilliant from the supporters and it’s great to have them back again.

“We’ve got a tough game which we hope will be a great game. It’s a game that we all look forward to.

“Everybody is talking about the game because of where the two teams are in the league. We’re at home in front of our own crowd and we’ll be looking to continue our good form here.

“The players enjoy all occasions and this is another game against another team at the top end of the table. We relish the challenges that come with these fixtures. It’s great to hear our record is good against teams at the top but that’s in the past.

“Norwich are a good team but so are we. The ground will be buzzing with the noise of the Albion fans and that’s what we want.

“Norwich have shown resilience and fighting spirit and they’re the ingredients you need at the top end of the table. They are no exception.”

The gaffer will be without Harvey Barnes who returned to parent club Leicester City on Friday - but Moore insists it presents an opportunity to his talented attacking players.

“We wish Harvey well. But he has gone now and it vacates a space for our other attacking players. We have an array of attacking forwards and it presents the opportunity for someone else to step in.

“We have to move on with the other good players we have in the building.”
