Johnstone: Unbeaten run gives us confidence

Sam Johnstone believes Albion are picking up more and more confidence each time they extend their unbeaten run.

The Baggies, who fought back from a losing position to claim points in the Sky Bet Championship for the fourth time already this season at Derby, are yet to suffer a defeat in their five league games under Slaven Bilic.

And the Baggies stopper says that record is something that his side should be happy about, but one they should also be keen to keep extending.

He said: “We are five games unbeaten in the league now.

“That’s something that we can certainly be happy about.

“We are proving to be a difficult team to beat and we are all feeling confident every time we play.

“We’re a good team and we have some very, very good players.

“The Championship is a tough league and you need to have confidence to be able to go and win games and to go on runs.

“We have plenty of confidence at the moment and we are determined to keep our unbeaten run going.

“We want to pick up as many points as possible and going on unbeaten runs obviously helps that.”

Sam added: “I thought we could have won the game at Derby.

“I think we had some great chances.

“We are happy with a point because we could’ve lost the game and we could’ve been 2-0 down, but I do feel as though we could have won it.”
