‘Confident’ Ken delighted to open account

Kenneth Zohore admitted the feeling of scoring his first Albion goal was an “amazing one” and insisted he was always confident of tucking home the late penalty.

The Baggies' number nine calmly slotted the ball past Rafael Cabral with just minutes left to extend his side’s unbeaten start to the Sky Bet Championship campaign.

Zohore said: “When the penalty was awarded I was just thinking that I had to go and get the ball and get the goal.

“I was feeling very confident. I was one against one with the goalkeeper and I felt like I was going to score.

“It’s amazing to get my first goal. I wanted to get my first goal in a win, but I will take this one tonight.

“I think this goal will spur me on to get more goals. There’s plenty more to come.”
