WBA Women National Plate video

Albion secured the FA Women’s National League Plate trophy for 2019 in style following a terrific 5-1 victory over Liverpool Feds at Rugby Town Football Club.

The Baggies got off to a perfect start when skipper Hannah George curled in a magnificent free-kick from 20-yards to give Albion the advantage within five minutes.

Louis Sowe's side continued to create chances with Gabbie Reid twice going close, but it was Liverpool Feds who equalised through Molly Farley, sliding the ball beneath Vannessa Kinnerley and into the back of the net.

Yet Albion regained control and deservedly moved back ahead thanks to Jess Davies, smashing the ball home after a great spin inside the six-yard box.

The Baggies kept up their momentum after the break, adding three more goals, with an excellent chipped goal from Laura Davies, a header from Ria Elsmore and a fine finish from player of the match Natalie Murray to round-up a wonderful afternoon.
