Trio ready to cause Darren selection headaches

DARREN Moore admits selection headaches are just around the corner with three of his attacking options nearing first-team action.

Newcomer Bakary Sako continues to build his fitness, while Matt Phillips is fit again after missing three games because of a thigh injury.

And the Baggies boss has given a positive update on James Morrison as the Albion favourite moves back into contention with the team preparing for games against Wigan, Derby and Blackburn in seven days.

“Matty’s been out for a few of weeks and it seems longer because of the volume of games we’ve had,” said Moore.

“Matt is back in training now and he’s been back for a while but he wasn’t quite right. We’ve just not taken a risk with him and we’ve utilised the squad and I think Tyrone has done a superb job.

“We’ll monitor Matt again, he’s in the squad and we’ll assess where he’s at and whether he’s ready to take that step. It will only be done if he’s absolutely right.”

He added: “Mozza, we’re monitoring. Mozza’s fitness is close to where we want it and in terms of his physicality he’s close, he’s not far away at all.

“We like how Bakary is looking for us now an he’s chomping at the bit to get a start.

“All three of them are really coming into it now and it will be important with the three games in a week.

“It’s good to have all three of them pushing and we will have a look at each of them.”
