On this day in 2003...

8 November 2018

In one of the most remarkable comebacks since Lazarus got out of bed, the Throstles recovered from 3-0 down at West Ham United’s Upton Park to win 4-3.

Two goals from Rob Hulse, an own goal from Brian Deane and the winner from Lee Hughes earned Albion the triumph, with West Ham’s Jermaine Defoe also helping the cause by getting himself sent off shortly before half-time.

A crowd of 30,359 couldn’t believe the evidence of their own eyes.
