Moore calls for positive finale

DARREN Moore insists it is important Albion ‘finish the season on a high’ at Crystal Palace on Sunday.

The Baggies will arrive at Selhurst Park unbeaten in their previous five fixtures, following an extraordinary run of form which has included wins over Manchester United, Newcastle and Tottenham.

And caretaker boss Moore says it’s imperative the Club go into the summer in an optimistic frame of mind.

“It’s very, very important we finish the season on a high," 'Mooro' insisted.

"It’s been that way in recent weeks and we’ve got some wonderful results against some really good football clubs.

“All five games have been excellent results and we continue to work on extending that.

“We’ve still got a real big game ahead of us.

“I do feel it’s really important that you gain momentum and I think every other Premier League manager would tell you the same.

“We need to keep that mentality going in the football club.”

He added: “It would be great to go six games unbeaten as the games have been difficult.

“We’ve focussed on making sure our planning and preparation has been good this week.

“The record is there for others to speak about, we’re just going into another game knowing that we have to be at our very best to get a result - and we’re just focussing on that.”
