On this day in 1958...

ALBION’s home game with Luton Town had to be abandoned because of torrential rain with the two teams locked at 1-1, Don Howe having scored the goal for the Baggies.

The rearranged game didn’t take place until 15 April 1959, Albion winning 2-0 as Luton prepared for the upcoming FA Cup Final with Nottingham Forest, Ronnie Allen and David Burnside scoring the goals that secured victory.
