JAKE Livermore says the beating heart at Albion’s “core” was a key factor in extending his Hawthorns contract.
"We've had a lot of changes", Jake admits, "but ultimately the core of the club has been brilliant for me and my family."
Be it staff, fans or his team-mates, our England international has heaped praise on the Albion family, who made it a simple decision to commit his future to the Club.
"It was an easy decision to make," he added.
"Since I joined here I've felt welcome.
"I've enjoyed my football season and my time here.
"The fans have been brilliant for me. I feel we owe it to ourselves and to them to get back to where we belong."
Jake's extension supports his theory that retaining talent is key in Albion's promotion mission.
He added: "Keeping our talent has shown the strength of the club and where we want to get to.
"The players we've brought in have been excellent as well.
"It shows where we want to go and helped my decision to push forward."
