Tosin Adarabioyo in profile

PROMISING central defender Tosin Adarabioyo adds further depth to Albion’s backline options for the 2018/19 campaign.

Joining on a season-long loan from Manchester City, the 20-year-old arrives at The Hawthorns with a burgeoning reputation as a ball-playing centre-half.

Adarabioyo is the third defender recruited by Albion this summer, with Kyle Bartley and Conor Townsend arriving at The Hawthorns last month.

A regular in City's under-18 side since making his debut at the tender age of 14, England youth international Tosin signed his first professional contract with the Club upon turning 17 in September 2014.

Highly regarded for his excellent ball skills and positional awareness, he made his senior debut in the FA Cup fifth-round tie with Chelsea, earning man-of-the-match honours despite City's defeat.

In the 2015/16 season, our new recruit led his team to the FA Youth Cup final, earning a first call up to England's under-19 side in the process.

His development was rewarded with a place on the first-team tour of Munich and China, where he began working closely with new manager Pep Guardiola who later promoted Tosin to the senior squad.

In June 2017, Tosin penned a new long-term contract with City, making his Premier League and Champions League debuts in a memorable season for the Citizens.

The loan move to The Hawthorns will be his first spell away from the Etihad.
