Points over clean sheet, says Sam

SAM Johnstone says he’d rather have three points than a clean sheet after his penalty heroics secured a 4-3 victory at Carrow Road.

Albion were on the right side of a seven-goal epic against Norwich City, thanks in no small part to Sam after a string of fine saves - including a stop from Jordan Rhodes' spot-kick.

And our number one says he will always prioritise the team over the individual.

"I'm buzzing we've got the win," he smiled.

"I said before the game I'd take three points over a clean sheet.

"I'm sure it was an exciting game to watch. But when we go ahead we need to be a bit tighter and see the game out a little bit better."

On his heroics from 12 yards, the 25-year-old was glad that they proved significant in the final result.

Sam added: "I'm grateful I saved it and that we've gone on to win the game.

"It's just what I'm there to do!

"The lads fought hard from coming behind to get into the game.

"We had a few setbacks but it was much better in the second half.

"Touchwood we can get on a good roll after getting three points."
