Rodriguez: Credit to team-mates and Mooro

JAY Rodriguez had plenty of praise for both his team-mates and Darren Moore following Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Swansea City at The Hawthorns.

The Baggies forward, who notched his tenth goal of the season in all competitions, said every player worked to their ‘maximum’ and that is credit to Moore who took on the challenge of leading the team earlier in the week.

Rodriguez was happy to see a run of nine straight defeats come to an end but was frustrated to see the Swans equalise with less than 20 minutes left.

“We are desperate for confidence and that only comes from performances like the one we put in against Swansea City,” said Rodriguez.

“It also comes from working hard in training like we have been all week with Mooro.

“The intensity has been good and we had been working towards the Swansea game and nothing else.

“We executed our gameplan and it was just a shame that we didn’t hold out to get three points.

“They’re a good side and solid at the back with great defenders.

“I thought it was a difficult game but I thought we did well and controlled it at times.

“We have stopped the run of defeats and hopefully we can now improve on that.

“Every single person was working to their maximum and that’s credit to them and also to the work that Mooro has done this week.

“We will get back to training on Monday and start to focus on Manchester United.”
