Foster on Swansea

BEN Foster wants an encouraging display against Swansea City to set the tone for the remaining five games of the Premier League season.

Albion put an end to an extended run of defeats against the Swans on Saturday, with Darren Moore playing a leading role in the Hawthorns dugout for the first time.

The game was well on its way to becoming a dream debut for 'Mooro', with Jay Rodriguez netting his 10th goal of the campaign to open the scoring early in the second period.

But Tammy Abraham hit back for Carlos Carvalhal's side to deny Darren all three points in his Baggies bow.

Foster, who again gave his all for the cause, believed It was an improved result and performance from Albion.

And he gave credit to the man in charge for having such a positive impact in such a short space of time.

"Mooro got us going on Saturday," said Ben. "Fair play to him. He took the bull by the horns early last week. The players and the fans bought into it. We were disappointed not to hold on to the three points which I think we deserved.

"Everyone can see that we've been trying to do the right things this season, it just hasn't come off. I don't think Mooro needed to change too much, it was just who he is as a person more than anything!

"He's bubbly, one of the most approachable and down-to-earth guys you'll meet in football. He's been top class with absolutely everyone from top to bottom. It's been a great week of training and a lift to our spirits."

The Baggies now have five games remaining in their quest to swell their top-flight points tally. The aim for Foster? To finish as strongly as possible for everybody associated with West Bromwich Albion Football Club.

"The main objective for us is to do the same things we did on Saturday," he added. "Everybody would like to finish strongly, not only for themselves, the Club and the fans, but for Mooro. He really does deserve it. This last week he's been a real breath of fresh air."
