Busy Easter weekend for loanees

It was an action-packed weekend of football for Albion’s loanees, with some playing twice in the space of just three days.

Kyle Howkins completed 90 minutes for Port Vale in SkyBet League Two on both Friday and Monday as they beat Chesterfield 2-1 before drawing 2-2 at Crewe.

Goalkeeper Ethan Ross also played two times in the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division as Redditch United were defeated 2-0 by Chesham United on Saturday and then lost by the same scoreline at home to Hereford on Monday.

Dara O’Shea came on as a second half substitute in that win for Hereford at Redditch, and he played in their 2-0 victory over Royston on Saturday as well.

Jack Fitzwater’s Walsall were only in action once as they lost 1-0 at home to Portsmouth in SkyBet League One on Saturday, with the defender completing 90 minutes at the Banks’s Stadium.

Meanwhile in League Two Kane Wilson played for Exeter City on Saturday as they went down 3-2 at Lincoln, and Tahvon Campbell completed 56 minutes for Forest Green Rovers on Monday as they lost 2-1 to Colchester.
