Nacer: The table is tight

NACER Chadli says Albion can kick on and keep climbing the Premier League table with victory at Southampton.

The Baggies travel to St. Mary's on Saturday (ko 5.30pm) with Chadli once again firing on all cylinders after netting a sublime free kick against Leicester in his first appearance of the Premier League season.

The point at the King Power Stadium on Monday evening moved Tony Pulis' side up to tenth in the table. And Nacer says the Baggies can't rest on their laurels with the league so congested at this stage of the season.

"If you look at the table, it's very tight.

"Every team can go up five places if they win a game.

'It's important for us to take the three points on Saturday and I'm sure we'll do everything to do that."

Albion's two top-flight wins so far this season have actually come without Chadli in the side.

Despite lauding his teammates efforts, Nacer wants a return to winning ways at the weekend.

"The team have done well, especially the first few games.

"It's been a bit more difficult recently but we still haven't lost many games.

"We need to get back on a winning streak."

To that end, the Baggies are hopeful senior goalkeepers Ben Foster and Boaz Myhill will be fit for the south coast clash.

Both stoppers were in full training on Friday morning. And Nacer was full of praise for Albion's No.1.

"Ben is one of the best goalkeepers in the league for me.

"He saved us a lot of points last season and he's doing the same again this season.

"He's a great professional and it's always good to have him in the team.

"He can win you games."
