Liverpool U18s 5 Albion U18s 2

ALBION’s under-18s lost 5-2 at Steven Gerrard’s Liverpool in a seven-goal thriller on Saturday.

The Baggies took the lead early on through Sam Wilding, but Liverpool quickly equalised thanks to Curtis Jones’ low drive.

Myles Hall then scored from the spot to put Albion back in front after Rayhaan Tulloch was brought down, though The Reds pulled themselves level again when Adam Lewis dispatched a penalty.

After half time it took just three minutes for the hosts to go ahead, with Jones squaring the ball for Paul Glatzel to tap home.

Substitute Liam Millar then scored with his first touch after being put through by Elijah Dixon-Bonner, and he sealed his brace and Liverpool’s win soon after by touching in Lewis’ cross.

ALBION: Przybek, White, Martinez, Healy, Harmon; Rogers, Hall, Wilding (Smith 71), McCourt (Williams 71); Tulloch (Holsgrove 81), Soule.

Substitutes: Cann, Ojebode.
