Tottenham Hotspur vs Albion match preview

ALBION make their first trip to Wembley since 2008 when they take on Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday (ko 3pm)

The opposition

Despite a difficult start to their spell at the national stadium, Spurs have now recorded three Premier League victories in a row at Wembley - as well as a Champions League triumph over Real Madrid at the start of this month.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side currently sit fourth in the table on 23 points having won seven, drawn two and lost three of their 12 league matches.

They finished second in the Premier League last campaign, and strengthened their squad over the summer by signing the likes of Davinson Sanchez, Serge Aurier and Fernando Llorente.

Last time out

The last fixture between the two sides was in January, when Spurs ran out 4-0 winners at White Hart Lane thanks to Harry Kane’s hat-trick and a Gareth McAuley own goal.

The return game was a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns, when Nacer Chadli put Albion ahead before Dele Alli equalised with just a minute to go.
