WBA Women defeated on final day

Baggies beaten by Terries 2-1

ALBION suffered a 2-1 defeat in their final FA Women's Premier League fixture away to Huddersfield Town Ladies.

The Baggies ended the campaign in sixth position, but will look back on the success of winning the County Cup for a second successive season.

Abi Cottam gave Albion the lead in the 14th minute when she raced onto a through ball from Hazzana Parnell to delightfully chip the onrushing Charlotte Kenyon.

But two quick fire goals in five Second half minutes from Katie Nutter and Kate Mallin turned the game on its head for Huddersfield.

Sargent hit the bar, while Cottam and Darby both forced Kenyon into fine saves as the Baggies searched for a late equaliser, but it never arrived meaning Albion's three game unbeaten run came to an end.
