Pulis excited by Premier League Asia Trophy

Albion compete in Hong Kong tournament in July

TONY Pulis is looking forward to what will be a "fantastic experience" when Albion compete in the Premier League Asia Trophy this summer.

The Baggies will be joined by Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Leicester City as they make their debut in the tournament which will played at the Hong Kong Stadium on Wednesday, July 19 and Saturday, July 22.

Both the schedule of matches and ticketing details will be announced in early June, with each day hosting two games kicking off at 6.30pm and 8.30pm local time.

The trip will mark Albion's return to the Far East 39 years after their historic, ground-breaking venture when they became the first English team to tour China.

Head coach Tony Pulis said: "It will be a fantastic experience for everybody connected to the football club.

"It's a great opportunity to play out there in what is becoming one of the fastest growing markets in the world for professional football.

"I'm delighted and the players are looking forward to it as well."

Pulis added: "They're very, very passionate about football in Asia, they're very passionate about the Premier League.

"I'm sure we'll get a great reception and everybody will enjoy it as they will be good games."
