SIX Albion loanees were in footballing action at the weekend.

In the Sky Bet Championship, Callum McManaman played just over half an hour as Sheffield Wednesday fell to a 2-0 home defeat at the hands of Reading. The Owls are now just one point clear of Fulham in sixth.

Tyler Roberts tasted defeat with Shrewsbury Town in League One as the Shrews were beaten 2-1 by Port Vale in a bottom-of-the-table clash.

But there was joy for Kyle Howkins in League Two. The defender was a 30th minute substitute as his Mansfield side moved to within three points of the playoff places with a 2-0 win over Carlisle. Tahvon Campbell was an unused substitute for Notts County.

Shaun Donnellan's Dagenham and Redbridge side lost ground in the race for promotion in the Vanarama National League after a 2-1 defeat at Barrow.

In the National League North, meanwhile, Ethan Ross and Chay Tilt both featured in Worcester City's 2-0 defeat at home to Boston United.
