Defeat for PL2 side

Baggies beaten 1-0 by Swansea

ALBION's Premier League 2 were beaten 1-0 by Swansea City on Monday evening in an ill-tempered game at Aggborough.

Oli McBurnie's controversial header in the 70th minute was enough to give the Swans all three points.

The visitors started brightly in the first half, with Adam King flashing a shot wide in the opening seconds.

Two fine saves from Baggies keeper Jack Rose kept the scores level at half time.

But it was Swansea who took the lead midway into the second period with McBurnie out-jumping Rose to head home when it looked as though the Albion stopper had been elbowed by the striker.

Tavhon Campbell hit the bar late on with Callum Morton also going close but James Shan's side couldn't find an equaliser.

ALBION: Rose, Wilson, Howkins (O'Shea 45), Fitzwater (c), Galloway, Harper, Field (Bradley 82), Leko (Wright 69), Edwards, Campbell, Morton.

Subs: House, Melbourne.
