Chadli, McClean and Rondon in international action

29 March 2017

Trio feature for nations on Tuesday

NACER Chadli, James McClean and Salomon Rondon were all in action for their nations on Tuesday.

The Baggies No.9 was on target for Venezuela in South American World Cup qualifying, but his goal proved to be nothing more than a consolation as they suffered a 3-1 defeat in Chile.

The result leaves Rondon’s nation bottom of the group with four games remaining.

Meanwhile, Chadli completed just under 80 minutes for Belgium who drew 3-3 with Russia in a friendly played in Sochi.

James McClean was involved for the Republic of Ireland against Iceland in Dublin.

The winger completed 72 minutes at the Aviva Stadium where Hordur Magnusson’s first-half free-kick secured the friendly victory for the visitors.
