Nabi’s penalty seals Under-18 derby win

Baggies record narrow 1-0 victory over local rivals

RAHIS Nabi’s late penalty proved to be the only goal of the game as Albion’s youngsters stole the bragging rights against Wolves on Saturday.

Chances were few and far between in a typically tight derby encounter at the Baggies’ training ground.

However, as the match reached the latter stages with a goalless draw on the cards, Dan Meredith won the hosts a penalty 17 minutes from time.

Midfielder Nabi confidently stepped up and converted from the spot to seal a welcome victory for Jamie Smith’s side.

Next up for our youngsters in a trip to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, January 21.
