Pulis provides Evans and Yacob fitness update

10 February 2017

Decisions to make for the boss

TONY Pulis has confirmed Jonny Evans and Claudio Yacob will be fit for the Premier League trip to West Ham United on Saturday (ko 3pm).

Evans has missed Albion’s last five games owing to a calf injury, last appearing in the 3-1 Hawthorns win over Hull City on January 2.

Yacob was absent from last Saturday’s 1-0 victory against Stoke City after spending time in hospital with suspected appendicitis.

The Argentinian was given the all-clear earlier this week and trained with his team-mates ahead of the club’s first visit to the London Stadium.

And the Baggies boss is pleased to have the duo back in contention to face the Hammers.

He said: “We’ve got Jonny and Yacob fit for the game against West Ham.

“We thought Claudio had appendicitis but luckily it wasn’t so he is back fit.

“Yacob has been outstanding for us this season.

“It’s massive to have both he and Jonny Evans back for this match.

“We certainly have a couple of decisions to make.”
