Years of the Throstle hits Hawthorns shelves

BOOK lovers can look forward to a bumper treat at our Hawthorns Stadium Megastore this weekend.

Two new Albion-themed publications will be available and ready to provide the perfect Christmas present for the Baggies fan who thought they had everything.

Legendary defender Ally Robertson will be in the store signing copies of his biography 'Thou Shalt Not Pass: The Alistair Robertson story'.

At the same time the remaining copies of 'Years of the Throstle', a new season-by-season history authored by Dave Bowler, our Albion News editor and oracle on all things blue-and-white striped.

This 260-page history includes all the league tables and team photos from virtually every campaign and is limited to just 1,878 individually numbered copies at a price of just £18.78.

And anyone who doesn’t know the significance of those numbers will do after reading the book.

The bulk of the stock has already gone out via mail order, with pre-order purchasers having their names included.

The last few hundred copies are on sale in the megastore from Saturday and once they’re gone, they’re gone. There will not be a reprint.

The "Ally Rob” book, meanwhile, is a long overdue account of the iconic defender’s journey from his Scottish homeland to become one of the most recognisable figures in some of the Club’s most fondly-remembered glories.
