Krychowiak: This is an ambitious club

ALBION have pipped a string of top European clubs to the much coveted signature of Grzegorz Krychowiak. And he sat down with WBA TV to chat about his season-long loan deal from Paris Saint Germain - subject to international clearance.

There was a whole host of clubs chasing the Poland international this summer. But 'Greg' has opened up about why The Hawthorns was the place for him.

"I'm very happy to be here," he said.

"I had a lot of propositions from Spain and Italy but I chose the Premier League because it's a new challenge for me.

"I have signed for West Bromwich Albion and I'm very excited."

And after meeting Tony Pulis and the Albion players, the 27-year old highlighted the importance of the club's positivity and ambition in securing his signature.

"This is a very ambitious club.

"I met the players and there is a very good atmosphere.

"I spoke with the coach. He is an optimist and I am too."

And with a World Cup on the horizon, Krychowiak wants to maximise his game-time this season to secure his spot on the plane to Russia next summer.

"It's very important to play for my national team.

"The World Cup is a big tournament. I'll do everything to be there."
