Baggies’ group campaign starts with three points
FORWARD Saido Berahino completed 90 minutes as Albion recorded a narrow 1-0 victory over Huddersfield Town in their opening Premier League Cup group game.
Fellow first team member Kane Wilson’s assured finish from a tight angle after 22 minutes was enough to hand all three points to the Baggies at Curzon Ashton’s Tameside Stadium.
Albion’s youngsters travel to Ipswich Town for their next fixture in the competition on Friday, November 4 (ko 7pm), before making the trip to Liverpool on Tuesday, December 6 (ko 7pm).
James Shan’s side will face all three teams at home after the turn of the year.
