McClean named in Republic of Ireland’s Euro 2016 squad

Winger heading for the finals

JAMES McClean has been named in the Republic of Ireland’s final 23-man squad for Euro 2016.

The Baggies winger completed 79 minutes of Tuesday night's 2-1 friendly defeat at home to Belarus, before officially being named in the travelling party to France following the match.

Martin O’Neill’s side kick-off their Group E campaign against Sweden in Saint-Denis on Monday, June 13 (ko 5pm).

The Irish then face Belgium in Bordeaux on Saturday, June 18 (ko 2pm) before finishing with a clash against Italy in Lille on Wednesday, June 22 (ko 8pm).
