Free coach travel for Sunderland trip

40 coaches laid on for fans travelling to Stadium of Light

ALBION have released details of this season's free coach offer for the 420-mile round trip to Sunderland – the 15th time the Club has run the initiative.

The Baggies will travel to the Stadium of Light on April 2 (3pm ko).

And the Club are again planning to lay on up to 40 coaches capable of transporting our allocation of 2,000 fans to the North East.

Chief executive Mark Jenkins said: “This recent period has thrown up a period of successive away games so we hope this gesture will encourage a large following for our game at Sunderland.

"As a thank you to the fans who have made a terrific effort to follow the team, we are providing free coach travel for what will be the 15th time.”

Fans can book their place when they buy their match tickets. A deposit of £1 is required, which will then be returned by stewards at the start of the journey.

It will be the third time Albion have subsidised travel to Sunderland.

The club have made a similar gesture on 14 previous occasions for league visits to Sunderland (x2), Wigan (x2), Norwich (x2) Reading, Hull, Barnsley, Charlton, Middlesbrough, West Ham, Southampton and Crystal Palace - with the team unbeaten in 12 of those 14 meetings.

Match ticket prices for the trip to Sunderland are £29 adults, £19 over-65s and £10 under-16s.
