Claudio Yacob produced terrific display against Manchester United
SAIDO Berahino poured praise over Claudio Yacob’s performance in the 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.
The Baggies midfielder and fans’ favourite produced a “fantastic” display at The Hawthorns against the Reds according to the young forward.
Yacob dominated proceedings in the middle of the park despite facing an experienced and expensive United midfield, with a number of Albion fans labelling the 90 minutes as his best ever for the Club.
Speaking after the Baggies’ first league victory over the 20-time title winners at The Hawthorns since March 1984, Berahino saluted the way the Argentinian stamped his authority on the encounter.
He said: “Claudio was fantastic against Manchester United.
“He completely controlled the midfield and his performance helped us win the game.
“With United being a man down for so long in the game, we needed our midfielders to get on the ball and start our attacks.
“I think that both Claudio and Fletch did that really well.
“His defensive work during the game was also really good, he was breaking up the play and moving the ball quickly so credit to him for doing that.”
