Albion players head for international duty

Eight players among absentees this week

EIGHT of Albion's senior contingent will be on international duty during the coming days.

James Chester of Wales will be up against Northern Ireland internationals Gareth McAuley and Jonny Evans when the two sides meet in a friendly this Thursday in Cardiff.

Wales will then jet out to take on Ukraine next Monday, while Northern Ireland return to Belfast to play Slovenia in Belfast.

Scotland have named Darren Fletcher in their squad for their friendly against Czech Republic in Prague.

Elsewhere, James McClean features in Ireland's double-headers against Switzerland (Dublin, on Good Friday) and Slovakia (Dublin, Tuesday, April 29).

Salomon Rondon, meanwhile, has World Cup qualifers for Venezuela in Peru (Thursday), with a home game against Chile on Tuesday, April 29.

Costa Rica has named Cristian Gamboa in their squad for their World Cup qualifiers double-header against Jamaica (away on Good Friday; at home on Tuesday, April 29).

And Stephane Sessegnon is also involved - he will feature in the African Cup of Nations qualifier in South Sudan (Wednesday), with the return fixture against the same opponents played on Easter Sunday.
