Lambert on target in win
FIVE senior players completed 90 minutes as an Albion XI claimed a 2-1 victory over non-league Stafford Rangers.
Boaz Myhill, Sebastien Pocognoli, James Morrison, Callum McManaman and Rickie Lambert all gained valuable minutes as pre-season preparations picked up pace ahead of the start of the Premier League campaign.
The Baggies were 1-0 up at the break after Lambert nodded home McManaman’s dinked cross at the back post after 25 minutes.
Rangers equalised shortly before the hour mark but Andre Wright ensured Albion left Marston Road with a win as he calmly stroked the ball into the bottom corner with just four minutes left.
