Pulis: Gards is one of the best I've worked with

Goalscorers earn praise from head coach

TONY Pulis praised substitute Craig Gardner following Albion's draw at Chelsea - claiming the midfielder was one of the best professionals he had worked with.
Gardner came off the bench for the injured James Morrison, scoring Albion's opener.
The Baggies fell behind but grabbed a draw through James McClean.

Gardner has impressed his head coach, who said:
Gardner came in and did really well.  He filled that pocket well and can strike a ball so well.
He's one of the best Pros I've worked with.
He works with the young players, he's here early and always has a great attitude.
It was good to see James score first - I think it's the first time I've seen him use his right foot!

On the result, Pulis added:
We showed great character. We need 13 more points to get to 40.
I'm pleased with everyone, had we not got something I'd have been disappointed. We played as a real team and I'd like to think our fans went away happy.

Morrison was forced off with a hamstring injury during the first-half, with Jonas Olsson also struggling for a period.
Morrison felt his hamstring so we took him off. Olsson also felt a bit of cramp in his hamstring so we almost took him off.
We have a lot of games coming up. And we have a lot to play for during the coming weeks so it was important to manage the players during this period.
