McManaman ruled out for 4-6 weeks

Winger suffers ankle ligament injury

CALLUM McManaman has been ruled out for between four-to-six weeks after suffering an ankle ligament injury.

It’s a blow for the pacey winger and for Albion who already have James Morrison just a couple of weeks into his recovery after being ruled out for a similar period.

Head Coach Tony Pulis confirmed at the press conference before the FA Cup clash against League One side Peterborough that Chris Brunt (calf) and Darren Fletcher (knee) were also concerns for the tie.

With the Premier League contests against Swansea and Newcastle following in the space of a week, Pulis has still to finalise his team.

"It’s a three game week but I have made my feelings about this competition very clear – I will be fielding a strong team to win the game," he promised.

Pulis also confirmed overnight speculation about the Club’s interest in a loan deal to bring in Brazilian midfielder Sandro from QPR until the end of the season.
