Shan previews PL Cup fixture

Baggies travel to Liverpool on Tuesday

Albion's PL2 boss James Shan expects a good game of football when his side travel to face Liverpool in the Premier League Cup on Tuesday evening (ko 7pm).

The Baggies travel to Merseyside on the back of two away games, a win at Huddersfield Town and defeat to Ipswich Town.

And Shan is preparing his side for another tough away day against the Reds.

"They're a good team.

"They're very similar to the First Team in the way that they play. They commit a lot of bodies ahead of the ball with lots of rotation and interchange.

"Without the ball they're hardworking with lots of very good footballers.

"It will be a difficult task."

With the top two teams from each group qualifying for the knockout stages, the Baggies will look ahead to the remaining games at the Hawthorns as an opportunity to pick up points.

"We have to take it game by game", said Shan.

"We had a good result against Huddersfield and a positive team performance against Ipswich.

"With the three final games being at home we may have some more senior involvement.

"But against Liverpool we lose some of our under-18 players because of the FA Youth Cup.

"We'll be going out there on Tuesday to get a positive result."
