Albion drawn at home in third round

5 December 2016

Baggies host the Rams in The Emirates FA Cup

ALBION will host Sky Bet Championship side Derby County in the Emirates FA Cup third round.

The two sides first met in the competition back in February 1896 when The Rams recorded a 1-0 win at the Baseball Ground.

The Baggies earned a 2-0 victory in the first FA Cup clash against the Rams at The Hawthorns in February 1907.

Chris Brunt scored twice when Albion last hosted Derby in 2010.

The Rams are currently ninth in the Championship with 29 points from 19 games.

The Pride Park outfit went into the draw on the back of five successive league wins – following the return of manager Steve McClaren.

Third-round ties will be played between Friday, January 6 and Monday, January 9, 2017.
