Northampton Town v Albion betting preview

23 August 2016

Latest odds from Coral ahead of tonight's cup clash

ALBION travel to Sixfields Stadium tonight to take on Northampton Town in the EFL Cup Round 2 and betting partner, Coral, has plenty to get your teeth into ahead of the match.

Following defeat at home to Everton at the weekend, the Baggies can get back to winning ways against the Cobblers and progress into the next round of the competition.

The League One outfit were promoted last year after mounting a remarkable run which saw them go unbeaten in the league from mid-December.

In fact they remain unbeaten in all competitions from mid-January until the present day, including four league draws and an extra-time cup victory so far this season.

Last season’s manager Chris Wilder left to join Sheffield United in May, with Town appointing Rob Page as his replacement.

The visitors look good value at 21/20.

For a bit extra, take a look at Albion to Win to Nil in 90 Mins market at 11/4.

Tony Pulis’ team have scored in each of their opening Premier League matches so far this term, while Northampton have managed just two in four.

Elsewhere, we have enhanced Salomon Rondon to score anytime to 7/4. The Venezuelan headed in the winner against Crystal Palace in their Premier League opener and the forward can use his aerial ability to good effect.

If you fancy the Baggies to make their Premier League class count, you can get 23/10 on them winning at half-time and full-time.

If you’re after a longer shot, Albion to win 2-0 is a cool-looking 8/1.

It would be a lovely little boost before league football returns this weekend...
