Morrison and Sessegnon latest

Duo's futures to be resolved in coming weeks

TONY Pulis has given an update on Albion duo James Morrison and Stephane Sessegnon, who are both out of contract at the end of this season.

Morrison played 45 minutes of this weeks Under-21s friendly against Derby - his first action since suffering an injury in January's 2-2 draw with Chelsea.

Regarding the contractual issues, Pulis said: "Nothing’s been sorted out so that is obviously ongoing. That will be done in the next couple of weeks I should imagine, one way or the other.

"James has missed games since the Chelsea game so he’s been out for quite a while, but his attitude around the place has been first class.

"He’s training well, unfortunately it’s taken a little bit longer than what we thought and what he thought.

"Contractual issues and dealings will be done with Richard Garlick and the players and the player’s agents so thank goodness I can stay out of that.

"Irrespective of what I think or what the Chairman thinks, everybody within a deal has to want to be part of what we’re doing and that’s very important for everybody."

On Morrison specifically, Pulis continued:  "James has been here a long time so he knows what the football club is and what it’s about. He’s been a great servant, he’s a top player for me.

"But it has to be right for James, it has to be right for the football club."
