Gnabry features for Germany Under-21 side

GERMANY Under-21

Serge Gnabry completed the first 45 minutes of an Under-21 friendly, as Germany overcame Denmark 2-1 in Lubeck.

The on-loan Albion winger was replaced at half-time by Maximilian Arnold.

Casper Neilsen gave the visitors the lead three minutes before the break, but Germany came back to claim a narrow win thanks to second-half goals from Timo Werner and Levin Oztunali.

Gnabry and Germany now travel to Azerbaijan on Tuesday for an Under-21 European Championships qualifier.

WALES

James Chester was forced to sit out Wales’ crucial 1-0 win over Cyprus in Nicosia after failing to recover from a hamstring injury in time.

Gareth Bale headed home Ashley Williams’ cross in the 82nd minute to give Chris Coleman’s side a vital three points.

The Baggies defender will be hoping to return to the line-up when Israel visit the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday.

A victory for Wales would confirm their qualification for EURO 2016.
