RED CARD – Chris Brunt

16 September 2015

Brunty reveals his pet hates

WELCOME to the latest edition of Red Card.

This is our very own Room 101 where early baths are the norm, where all things bad are given their marching orders, where there are no second chances and... we think you get the drift.

This week our guest is Northern Ireland international, Chris Brunt.

Rule in football?

That new offside one. I don’t think anybody has a clue what is going on. The first league game of the season there was a perfect example of that.

Part of the game?

I think a winter break would be decent. We don’t get that and obviously I understand why, but it would be identical to most of the teams in Europe and that could benefit the national teams and the teams competing in Europe.

Away day experience?

I’ve had a few bad ones when I have been away with Northern Ireland. We went to the Faroe Islands and drew 1-1 in 2010. It was a bad day. They moved the game to a cabbage patch pitch and they got a result against us.

Team-mate’s fashion sense?

Saido is pretty bad. I am no fashion guru but he dresses terribly.

Team-mate’s taste in music?

I’m going to have to say Saido again, but everyone has their own tastes.

Sport?

Cricket, I have no time for cricket whatsoever. I don’t see how anyone can get excited about it.

Lesson at school?

IT. I didn’t enjoy IT at all.

Creepy-crawly?

Wasps, I hate them with a passion.

Holiday annoyances?

Seeing other footballers on holiday. They all go away during the same time for obvious reasons and you always seem to bump into one.
