Fitzwater has been training with the SpireitesALBION teenager Jack Fitzwater has joined League One side Chesterfield on an initial month-long youth loan deal.
The 17-year-old second-year scholar impressed Baggies boss Tony Pulis in the summer and was present on both the club's pre-season trips to Austria and the USA.
And having started all three victories for Albion's Under-21s so far this term, Fitzwater will now look to get his maiden taste of first-team football with the Spireites.
The centre-back is reunited with former Baggies midfielder Liam O'Neil following his permanent move to the Proact Stadium last month.
He could be available to make his debut in tomorrow's clash at home to Colchester, subject to Football League clearance.
Albion director of football administration Richard Garlick said: "We see this as an important part of Jack's development and to get an opportunity like this at such a young age is testament to the hard work he has put in."
