Albion take on Stoke at The Hawthorns on Monday
BAGGIES Under-21 boss James Shan has called on as many Albion supporters as possible to turn out and get behind his side on Monday night.
The youngsters will be looking to make it 12 Barclays U21 Premier League games unbeaten when they welcome Stoke City to The Hawthorns (ko 7pm).
Albion have played home fixtures at the Club’s training ground and Tamworth FC’s The Lamb so far this term, meaning the clash against the Potters will be the first chance for the Baggies faithful to see the Under-21s in action in West Bromwich.
Shan insists playing in front of large crowds is pivotal for development.
“It would be great to have as many Albion fans as possible come down to support us.
“We have been playing some really good football this season and we are unbeaten in 11 league games, a run which stretches back to the back end of last season.
“The Stoke game will be the first time we have played at The Hawthorns this season so far, so hopefully that will mean more Baggies fans will come down to watch us.
“It is important that the lads get some exposure of playing in front of crowds.
“Any of the boys could get thrown into the first-team or sent out on loan at any given point and they have to be ready for everything that comes with both of those things.
“Playing in front of a crowd is one of them, so it would be great to see as many fans down at The Hawthorns for that reason.”
Season ticket holders can watch the game for free.
Admission prices are £5 adults and £1 concessions.
Come on you Baggies!
