Poppy Shirt Appeal raises more than £6000

24 November 2015

Morrison shirt is the most popular

WEST Bromwich Albion's Poppy Shirt Appeal auction has raised more than £6000 for the Royal British Legion - with James Morrison's No7 shirt going for the highest amount.

As in recent years, Albion wore Poppy-embossed shirts for the fixtures before November 11 - this season, against Leicester City at The Hawthorns and away at Manchester United.

Morrison's shirt went for £754, with Saido Berahino's jersey fetching £600.

Shirts belonging to Chris Brunt and Darren Fletcher (£570 and £510) were also highly sought-after.

In total, the auction raised £6194.05. The Club would like to thank everyone who bid for a shirt.
